28 Nelson Street Parking Lot Construction
Introduction
In the 2018 Meaford Downtown Core Commercial Parking Analysis, it was identified that there was a need for additional parking in the commercial area of the downtown core.
In 2019, the municipality purchased the property at 28 Nelson Street West with the intention of providing additional parking for the downtown core. The structure on the property was demolished in 2021 for the preparation of the parking lot project.
Project Description
The parking lot will include 30 parking spaces and 2 barrier-free parking spaces and will include:
- Asphalt surface
- Overhead lighting
- Storm water controls
- Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers (number of spots to be determined)
