Georgian Trail Pedestrian Bridge (BR-129)
Introduction
Bridge BR-129, located on the Georgian Trail, west of Swarthmore Drive and crossing over Workman’s Creek, has been identified as requiring replacement as part of routine inspections of the structure. The 2025 Ontario Structure Inspection Manual report gave the structure a bridge condition index (BCI) of 41.22, and replacement is generally recommended at a BCI of 40. Significant scouring has occurred at the outlet of the structure and has begun to undermine the structure.

- Review of bridge alternatives
- Detailed design and engineering
- Demolition of the existing structure
- Replacement for the water crossing
