Help Yarn Bomb the Library Parkette
Friday, May 1 to Friday, June 12
Saturday, June 13  Come decorate at 10 am.
Celebrate “Knit in Public Day” (Saturday, June 13) by helping us yarn bomb the Library Parkette!
Between Friday, May 1 to Friday, June 12, visit the library and pick up some yarn and needles.
Knit long strips, any style, that can be wrapped around trees, railings, chairs, etc. Bring your strips to the yarn bombing event and decorate the Library parkette.

Instructor Barbara Rosen will guide a 1-hour standing ancient Chinese Qigong practice to energize the mind, body, and spirit. After, there will be a 30-minute seated meditation. Join us for one or all sessions.

Each completed challenge earns a ballot for a chance to win a monthly prize.

Walk the Length of the Odyssey

Please register to participate
A 10-week (not years) community movement challenge! Walk, run, bike, rollerblade... just get moving!
Keep track of your steps or km travelled and submit them weekly to asolecki@meaford.ca. The participant who travels the furthest will win a heroic-age prize.
Let's see if we can walk 8,043 km, Odysseus’s journey home from Troy to Ithaca.

2026 Ontario Parks Day-Use Passes

With more than 100 operating provincial parks to choose from, you can explore skiing, hiking trails and day use beaches across our beautiful Grey County and Province.  Borrow a Day Pass with your Library card and enjoy free day parking in many Ontario Provincial Parks. Your Meaford Library card will help you get back to nature and discover your Ontario.
Rules of Use:
  • Daily Vehicle Permits can be borrowed for a maximum of 7 days; no renewals and back-to-back borrowing will be based on demand.
  • There is a limit of one pass per household.
  • Passes will only be loaned on an adult membership card in good standing.
  • Replacement fee if lost of $225.00 will apply.
  • The pass entitles day use for one personal vehicle (excluding buses) and all its occupants at many provincial parks subject to regulations.
  • Permits must be displayed on the rear-view mirror or dashboard of the vehicle while it is in a park.We recommend you check the Ontario Parks website for up-to-date information to plan your trip (the pass does not guarantee park entry).  Park capacity limitations as well as COVID-19 restrictions may apply, as well as park operating dates.Visit their Operating Dates 2024 webpage and their Day Use webpage for more information. 2026 Grey Sauble Conservation Parking Passes

This pass permits visitors to park at 9 Grey Sauble Conservation properties that currently have paid parking like Inglis Falls, Christie Beach, Hibou Conservation, and more.
Grey Sauble offers this pass to help reduce barriers and encourage more people to get outside and enjoy all the benefits that being in nature provides.
The pass can be checked out for up to 7 days on an adult card in good standing.
No renewals allowed.  You can place a reserve on our catalogue.
Please display on your vehicle's rear view mirror.  Ask at the circulation desk for the pass.
