Notice of Temporary Road Closure on Nelson Street East

Nelson Street East will be closed on Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for the Royal Canadian Legion 100th Anniversary March and Cenotaph Rededication Ceremony. 

Overview  

The following service will be temporarily impacted: Nelson Street East, from Bayfield Street to Sykes Street North. 

Start date: Saturday, August 15, 2026 at approximately 10:00 a.m. 

Approximate end date: Saturday, August 15, 2026 at approximately 10:30 a.m. 

Reason for disruption: To support the Royal Canadian Legion 100th Anniversary march and Cenotaph rededication ceremony. 

Alternative services: Nelson Street East will reopen once the procession has passed. Please follow posted signage and drive with caution in the area.
